Youth Wrestling Clinic
October 25th 9-10:00 am Beginners (Prek-1st) and 10-11:30 AM Advanced/Intermediate (2-6th)
In the NPECC Wrestling Room
This clinic is a great opportunity for our youth wrestlers to meet our coaches, hang out with our high school wrestlers, get acclimated to the program and to have some fun learning some moves! Both Sessions will begin with a parent meeting. Grades 2nd-6th wrestlers will be evaluated to determine our top 20 wrestlers for the Advanced Group for the Season.
Clinic is FREE to all wrestlers. BRING WRESTLING SHOES PLEASE!
Meet The Coaches
Beginner Coach
Nick Keeling
Nick has been a coach for the youth program for several years and does a fantastic job. Nick will run our beginners program and help with Advanced Practices
2x State Place Winner and State Finalist for Des Moines Lincoln in 2005
Girls Program Coach
Brandon Schmitz
Former Norwalk Alumni as well as being the Former Head Coach for Norwalk Boys High School Program for 10 years. Will be running the girls program.

Iowa High School 3A Coach of the Year in 2021. Currently the High School Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Advanced Coach
Jake Marlin
Former wrestler for the University of Iowa and Niacc where he was a national finalist. Head coach and founder of the Team Marlin Wrestling Club.
Jake will lead our practices on Mondays and Thursdays for the Advanced Group

Jake is one of the most accomplished Iowa high School wrestlers ever. He was a 4X State Champion with an overall record of 204-6. Set the State record with 147 pins in High School. 3X Fargo Nationals All-American. Jake was inducted into the IHSAA Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2024.

Tyler Hirl
Tyler is in his 3rd year of helping coach our Youth Program and he brings a ton of knowledge about the sport to our kids. Tyler will be running practices on Tuesday nights for our intermediate group and he will coach on Thursdays with our big group!
Tyler is a former Norwalk Alumni where he was a State Place winner in 2017!
